1. Overview

At Narrateev, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data from our systems, what data we delete, and what we may be required to retain for legal or operational purposes.

Your data deletion rights are protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data we hold
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten)
• Request portability of your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

3. What We Delete

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove the following:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile details
• Campaign Data: All campaigns, drafts, and scheduled content
• Asset Vaults: Characters, environments, and audio assets you've uploaded
• Generated Content: All AI-generated images, videos, and copy
• Persona Definitions: Your target audience and persona configurations
• Usage History: Feature usage logs and preferences
• Social Connections: OAuth tokens and connected platform data

4. What We May Retain

Certain data may be retained for legal, compliance, or operational reasons:

• Payment Records: Transaction history as required by tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years)
• Legal Compliance: Data required for ongoing legal proceedings or regulatory compliance
• Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
• Backup Systems: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion

5. How to Request Deletion

You can request data deletion through any of these methods:

5.1 Self-Service (Recommended)

Log into your Narrateev account, navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will immediately initiate the deletion process.

5.2 Email Request

Send an email to privacy@narrateev.ai with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Include:

• Your registered email address
• Your account username (if applicable)
• Confirmation that you want all data deleted (or specify particular data categories)

5.3 Identity Verification

To protect your data from unauthorized deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity. This typically involves confirming access to your registered email address.

6. Processing Time

We process deletion requests as follows:

• Self-Service: Immediate account deactivation, full deletion within 30 days
• Email Request: Acknowledgment within 3 business days, completion within 30 days
• Backup Purge: Up to 30 additional days for removal from encrypted backups

You will receive email confirmation once your data has been fully deleted from our primary systems.
